Lilo and Stitch: Forlorn Hawaiian gal being brought up by her older sibling finds a doubtful buddy at the dog pound an alien whom she names Sew. In the mean time, ambassadors from Sew’s world have arrived in this world to recover the damaging little creature. Gorgeous watercolor surroundings are simply spectacular. Cast includes Voices of Daveigh Pursue, Christopher Michael Sanders, Tia Carrere, Kevin McDonald, Ving Rhames, David Ogden Stiers, Zoe Caldwell, Jason Scott Lee, and Kevin Michael Richardson. Down to Earth: A would be standup comedian is taken to heaven before his time, and then returned to life in the body of a cruel baron. Cast includes Chris Stone, Regina Baron, Chazz Palrninteri, Eugene Tax, Frankie Faison, Mark Addy, Jennifer Coolidge, Greg Germann, Wanda Sykes, and Greg Cho (87 minutes, 2001)
Seize the Day: Williams is momentous as Tommy Wilhelm, turning 40 and a failure by any standard, which’s broke, much damaged and despondent for love. Wiseman and Stiller offer fine aid as his cold hearted dad and a con man he naively believes in. Lots of recognizable faces in tiny roles: Tony Roberts, Richard Shull, John Fiedler, Jo Van Fleet, William Hickey, Eileen Heckart, and numerous others. Cast includes Robin Williams, Joseph Wiseman, Jerry Stiller, and Glenne Headly. (93 minutes, 1986)
The Alomo: Impassioned series of events leading up to the legendary 1836 siege in San Antonio, Texas. A more precise rendition than earlier renderings of the tale, it still battles to handle the numerous elements of this historical occurrence. Cast includes Billy Bob Thornton, Dennis Quaid, Jason Patric, Patrick Wilson, and Emilio Echeverria (135 minutes, 2004)
Slattery’s Hurricane: Weather reporter Widmark, in midst of storm, looks back on his life. Damell and Pool are the two women he has loved. Cast includes Richard Widmark, Linda Damell, Veronica Pool, John Russell, and Gary Merrill. (83 minutes, 1949)
The Cheyenne Communal Club: Jimmy inherits and runs a bawdy home in the Old West. The film has lots of chuckles, although stereotypes are thick throughout the film. Cast includes Henry Fonda, James Stewart, Shirley Jones, Sue Ane Langdon, and Elaine Devry. (1003minutes, 1970)
The Day Time Ended: Sci-fi mumbo jumbo in regards to a family living in the desert, who witness odd and horrifying phenomena. Cast includes Jim Davis, Dorothy Malone, Christopher Mitchum, Marcy Lafferty, Scott Kolden, and Natasha Ryan. (79 minutes, 1980)
